SERVE in the Church & Community
Matthew 22:37-39 “And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
Jesus went about “doing good”, serving, helping and healing others. Serving in your local community brings glory to God. It’s a great way to share God’s love in a tangible way. Whether an individual, or as a family, we believe God has called each person here at LFM to Serve.
Romans 12:6-8 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
We challenge you to begin to use your gift. God has given each of us unique gifts, we encourage you to find a place to serve.
